The date is set for the release of the Boxee Beta.

On December 7th at 7pm we are going to have an unveiling event at the
Music Hall of Williamsburg. If you’re in NYC it would be great if you
could attend (RSVP at http://bit.ly/boxeebetanyc).

In case you can’t make it to the event you’ll be able to tune in to a live stream (provided by LiveStream.com) at http://blog.boxee.tv
or directly on Boxee (we’ve worked with Cliqset to overlay messaging onto the stream so you’ll be able to chat about Boxee
while you’re watching Boxee on Boxee. woah.) We’ll make a recommendation for this App on the day of the event.

At the event we will demo the new Beta, launch new applications and start
a 4-week early-access for users to test the Beta before we release it
to the public at CES on Jan 7th.

The Boxee Beta will look, feel and behave differently
from the Alpha. It takes into account many of the requests and feedback
we received from users over the past year.

The Beta will feature:

• • a completely re-designed look and feel
  • improved navigation across the platform to quickly and easily access entertainment
  • search for TV Shows and Movies on the Internet & on local hard drives / networks
  • queuing functionality to let you save things for later from the web
  • shortcuts for your favorite apps, movies, shows, etc.
  • and the proverbial “more”

This battery powered wand features a mini Van de Graaff generator inside. Push a button on the handle and the static charge built up in the wand causes the included 3D mylar shapes to levitate at your command. As deeply described in this article , Google takes lots of efforts to know and understand its users better by following all their internet activities through various products and services.

But accorcing to real intelligence, like for answering questions, it is way behind optimal results.

Secretly, yet unattended by the media, a start-up company in beta-status developed a stunning search-engine offering right this: Real answers to real questions!

The Cambridge/UK based company [true knowledge] developed a stunning mechanism/algorithm to go far beyond everything seen on search development yet.

In their own words:

Our technology addresses one of the fundamental problems in internet search: namely that computers (unlike humans) cannot understand the content of web pages. As a result, finding information in the early 21st century still involves a process of guessing keywords that may appear in an appropriate web page and hoping that a search engine retrieves

a document with the desired information sufficiently near the top of the list as to be found reasonably quickly. Simply asking a search engine for the desired information in the most natural way possible doesn’t produce a direct response.
